Snow-flakes that stay on my nose and eye-lashes

Ever since I have been back in Tucson, I have either been sleeping or complaining that nothing is happening or cribbing about not being able to take lesser courses. Ofcourse, meanwhile I got to hear that it has snowed on Mt.Lemon. Considering that this might be the second time I might miss seeing snow at close quarters, I had an extra grumpy disposition. :) (I make up for it by the extra smileys in the posts.) Anyway, God thought he would send a surprise down our way and something which happens probably once in ten years happened yesterday. It snowed.
When I first heard it was snowing, I didn't believe it. It doesn't snow in the middle of a desert. But thenyou should have come out and stood on the porch and see the white drops, which could not be mistaken for water come swirling down. From far it still seemed like water drops, albeit with reduced speed. But if you put your hand out, the drops would fall softly and condense into little drops of water on your palm, without hitting it like raindrops do. They just came to rest as if on whatever they touched.
We were so excited for words that we stood in the snow, posing for pictures. It was a very thin layer ..... but the twirling snowflakes, settling down all around and sort of replaying a white christmas.....it was breath-taking.

Today morning, with a -2 degrees celsius, the whole world seemed to have been covered in a light layer of white. Thats the most beautiful part, the white roof-tops, the white car tops, the trees with white glistening on their top branches.
All in all, I guess all I can say is "Thank you".
